Generations is growing. Kidsworld is growing. And with that comes a need for more volunteers in our childrens' classes. Here are some of the opportunities available.
The Nursery - Whether you like rocking babies to sleep in the infant room or playing with tiny tots (walkers - 2 year olds) in the toddler class the nursery is always a fun place to be.
Preschool - Teachers and teacher's helpers have a great time in the class with 3-5 year olds. Everything is a new adventure for these little ones. Sunday morning activities include songs, a Bible lesson, play time, snacks, and crafts or games.
Propel and Ignite - For these classes, Sunday mornings start out in Assembly, where kids have praise and worship, the Bible lesson of the week, games, and skits. After Assembly, volunteer teachers for these classes facilitate a small group of 6-8 kids with a follow up discussion from the day's lesson. It's an opportunity for the kids to have a voice, for them to talk about how the lesson applies to them personally, and for the teacher and the kids to get to know one another.
Behind the Scenes - Every Sunday morning someone prepares the snacks for all of the classes and delivers them to the classrooms. No shopping or planning is necessary, and all of the supplies are provided. This job is done before service starts and doesn't involve engaging with children. So if you're a little shy around kids, this might be the place for you.
If you would like to give one Sunday a month to be a blessing in Kidsworld, you can pick up an application at the Kidsworld checkin desk or click here for a pdf to print. Please fill it out and put it in the offering bucket at church on Sunday. Thank you for having a heart to serve.
